A brand new dojo in Cape Town
It is with a very heavy heart that Mushin says good-bye to one of its own, Marcas Hendry. Marcas has been an integral part of Mushin, having started his kendo journey in 2012, he quickly progressed to be one of Mushin's best kendoka.
Marcas represented Mushin at the 2014 Tengu Cup in Frankfurt, Germany and 2015 World Kendo Championships in Tokyo, Japan as part of the national team.
But, every cloud has a silver lining. At the start of 2016, Marcas opened his own dojo: Shishigashira in Cape Town after he moved down there at the end of 2015.
Mushin could not be more proud of our fellow kendoka, and wish him and his new dojo all the best of luck. It is a good feeling knowing that if ever one of us find ourselves away from home, that there is a second waiting for us with its doors wide open. Promoting continuous development for both individual and national kendo skills and moral.
