A warm welcome for SA team member
It is with great pride that Mushin welcomes back Anesu, after he had represented the country at the 27th European Kendo Championship in Skopje, Macedonia as part of a 5 man team.
The men's team had made history during this competition by being the first South African team to progress past the pool rounds. We eventually lost to Austria in the knock out rounds, but we have learnt so much from this competition. We as South Africans now know our true potential and we have shown the world that they need to keep their eyes on us, next time we plan on going all the way.
On the individual level, Anesu unfortunately did not progress past the pool rounds, but we were all cheering him on sitting behind our computers following the fights on a live feed.
We as a dojo are very proud of our little man, and can not wait to learn from him and his new found international level knowledge he has gathered.
